RiverWind partners with local communities to bring impactful programs to life. Our teams in Pucallpa and upriver Amazon communities collaborate with volunteers to create enriching experiences like Vacation Bible School (VBS), a week-long event filled with Bible teachings, songs, and games. At the end of VBS, children receive backpacks with school supplies, fostering faith and learning.
In Nueva Italia, our Leadership Training Center builds strong relationships with local schools. We regularly conduct classes on Bible study, emotional growth, and environmental education. Through ongoing Sunday school programs, led by our children’s ministry director and a local pastor’s wife, we provide continuous teaching and build meaningful relationships with the youth in these communities. We also partner with Sports Friends Peru to mentor youth both in sport programs and shared indigenous community values.

Empowering Through Knowledge
From Creation to New Creation, God’s care for humanity remains steadfast.
RiverWind believes education is key to community growth. In remote communities with limited access to professional development, we offer continuing education for teachers, equipping them with the skills to positively impact their students. We also provide skills training for women in areas like cooking, natural remedies, sewing, and jewelry making, enabling them to generate income and support their families
Bringing the Gospel to the Unreached
RiverWind’s outreach focuses on teaching indigenous peoples along the Ucayali River basin. By establishing local communities of believers, we empower them to share their faith with others. Our presence in Shipibo communities has fostered leaders who now share God’s story in their own and neighboring communities. Community survey trips help us connect with new tribal groups, marking the beginning of meaningful work and joy as Shipibo teachers learn new languages and share God’s love.
