Christians are a people with a Scripture.  The Christian Bible is a narrative beginning with God's work of creation and filling of his garden called Eden (Genesis 1 & 2).  The narrative closes with God's work in bringing about a restored creation, renewed with fullness of life once again (Revelation 21 & 22).  God created people to serve and preserve his creation, the meeting place between heaven and earth.

RiverWind is expectantly awaiting an opportunity to formalize an Environmental Stewardship program. Currently, we support educational efforts with the local government school, both teachers and students, to value and care for their local environment. In the past, we have supported caring for and protecting undeveloped land from harmful and wasteful clear cutting practices. We have welcomed researchers from The Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies who identified and documented native flora and fauna found in the Peruvian rainforest. We are seeking partnerships with Christian-based environmental organizations to continue to move forward this area of ministry.

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;  let the sea resound...

let the fields be jubilant...let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.

(Psalms 96: 11-12)
